An ancient oracle used by the Norse people for pre-dating the tarot by a millennium is known as rune casting. Rune casting means to interpret the casted runes to their correlations. A Norn is quite simple and represents three runes which signify different phases of life. The first rune tells about the past situation when having a question in mind. The second rune talks about the current situation the asker has in mind that is the present and the third rune forecasts what will happen in the future if the asker carries his practices the same way as in the present.
